Kelley Banagan, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon and an assistant professor of orthopedics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore.
Dr. Banagan is the medical school clerkship director for the orthopedics department and helps to coordinate the research and curriculum for the spine fellowship at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She has a special interest in pediatric scoliosis.
Dr. Banagan received her medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and underwent orthopedic spine surgery fellowship training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and has presented her research both nationally and internationally. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society and Maryland Spine Society.
