Deeptee Jain, MD, is a spine surgeon at St. Louis-based Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Dr. Jain treats conditions including adult spinal deformity, spinal stenosis and traumatic spine injuries. Her research interests include minimally invasive spine surgery and robotics. She's also an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery at St. Louis-based Washington University School of Medicine.
She received her medical degree from Durham, N.C.-based Duke University School of Medicine and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at University of California San Francisco. Dr. Jain also completed a spine fellowship at NYU Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City.
SpineLine, the primary publication for the North American Spine Society, named her on its "20 Under 40" 2020 list. According to SpineLine, her father was an endocrinologist, and she followed his footsteps into medicine.
