Ara Deukmedjian, MD, has extensive experience having performed more than 2,000 cervical decompressive discectomies, treating more than 1,000 herniated or degenerated discs and doing more than 300 laser spine surgeries.
Dr. Deukmedjian, CEO and medical director of Melbourne, Fla.-based Deuk Spine Institute, has also seen a 95 percent success rate in eliminating pain with laser spine surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Southern California’s School of Medicine where he was the 1996 president of the school's Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical School Honor Society chapter. He completed his residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville.
Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Deukmedjian is an assistant neurosurgery professor at the University of Florida. He also works with a nonprofit, the Deuk Spine Foundation, which supports research and development of spine innovation.
