Tim Adamson, MD. Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates (Greensboro, N.C.). Dr. Adamson specializes in endoscopic disc surgery, minimally invasive surgery, vascular neurosurgery and acoustic tumors. He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville and completed his residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Paul Detwiler, MD. Baylor Scott and White Texas Spine & Joint Hospital (Tyler). Dr. Detwiler is a neurosurgeon with a special interest in spine surgery. He received the Advocate of the Year Award from the Texas Healthcare Trustees in July.
Irman Fayaz, MD. The Brain & Spine Institute of North Houston. Dr. Fayaz specializes in neck and back pain procedures. He began clinical practice in 1999.
Ira Garonzik, MD. Baltimore Neurosurgery and Spine Center. Dr. Garonzik founded Baltimore Neurosurgery and Spine Center in 2005. He received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and completed his residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Craig Kelman, MD. Aspirus Health (Wausau, Wis.). Dr. Kelman specializes in minimally invasive surgery, spinal and cranial navigation and brain tumors. He received his medical degree and completed his residency at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond.
Larry Khoo, MD. Spine Clinic of Los Angeles. Dr. Khoo served as co-director of the University of California Los Angeles Comprehensive Spine Center from 2002 to 2009. He's pioneered and validated several minimally invasive spine procedures in multiple publications.
Mark McFarland, DO. Orthopaedic & Spine Center (Newport News, Va.). Dr. McFarland joined OSC in 2005 and specializes in less-exposure spine surgery, a form of minimally invasive surgery. He recently debuted Stryker's SpineJack in the region.
Daniel Nehls, MD. Franciscan Neurosurgery Associates at St. Joseph (Tacoma, Wash.). Dr. Nehls specializes in minimally invasive spine and neurosurgery. In 2007, he debuted the Prestige artificial cervical disc in the region and teaches other surgeons how to use it.
Kenneth Nwosu, MD. a surgeon in Puyallup, Wash. Dr. Nwosu became the first surgeon to use the Excelsius GPS spine robot at Francis Hospital in Federal Way, Wash., in 2020. His practice specializes in treating neck and lower back pain.
Sina Rajamand, DO. Battle Born Brain and Spine (Carson City, Nev.). Dr. Rajamand opened his practice in August to do minimally invasive spine surgery and neurological conditions. He also treats conditions such as cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine issues and compression fractures.
