Dr. Adnan Abla is a neurosurgeon and clinical professor of neurological surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. His areas of interest include spinal tumors, microdisectomy, anterior cervical discectomy, laminectomy and spinal instrumentation and fusion.
He previously served as director of spine services for Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dr. Abla is a member of many organizations including Allegheny County Medical Society, American Association for Advance of Science, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association and Congress of Neurological Surgeons among many others.
Dr. Abla completed his residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and the University of Oklahoma in neurosurgery. He additionally completed a year in the orthopedic residency program at the University of Oklahoma.
Dr. Abla completed residencies at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and a residency at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Abla went on to complete his clinical fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
