Donald Hales, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at Northern Arizona Orthopaedics.
Dr. Hales specializes in treating medical and surgical problems of the spine and neck as well as performing total disc replacement surgery.
He began his career after earning his medical degree from John Hopkins University in Baltimore. He then had a residency and spine fellowship at the University of California in Los Angeles.
Dr. Hale is a member of several professional organizations including the American Back Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Hale is actively involved in the arts community. He is a tenured member of the Master Chorale of Flagstaff, in which he sings tenor. Additionally he is a pilot, enjoys scuba diving and is a fisherman.
