Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. John Ratliff of Stanford Neuroscience Health Center

John Ratliff, MD, is a spine surgeon at Stanford Neuroscience Health Center in Palo Alto, Calif.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ratliff serves as a professor at Stanford (Calif.) University Medical Center. He is the vice chair of neurosurgery and co-director of the spine and peripheral nerve surgery division at the university.

 

Previously, Dr. Ratliff served on the executive committee of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He is the treasurer for the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies and is on the board of directors of Neuropoint Alliance.

 

After earning his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Dr. Ratliff completed his residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Dr. Ratliff is also fellowship trained from New York University Medical Center in New York City.
