Hamid Mir, MD, is a spine surgeon and medical director of DISC Sports and Spine Center in Newport Beach, Calif.
With more than 10 years of experience performing complex spine surgeries, Dr. Mir specializes in minimally invasive surgery and advanced microscopic techniques. He has been published in Surgical Techniques in Spine Instrumentation and Non-Fusion Techniques for the Spine for his work on the anterior cervical
system.
Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Mir is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the North American Spine Society and California Orthopaedic Association.
After earning his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School in New York City, Dr. Mir completed his residency at University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Mir is also fellowship trained from Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
