Said G. Osman, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon at Frederick, Md.-based Sky Spine Endoscopy Institute.
Dr. Osman specializes in complex and minimally invasive endoscopic spine procedures, and performs complex minimally invasive joint replacements, orthopedic trauma surgery and hand and foot surgeries. He is a pioneer in the field of minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery.
Dr. Osman holds several patents, including the unidirectional dynamic spinal fixation device, a method for postoperatively compressing a bone graft, the biologic intramedullary fixation device, and the transpedicular partial disc arthroplasty. He has served as a spinal consultant to leading minimally invasive spinal surgery technology companies, and was awarded the Kambin Foundation Annual Award for research in the field of minimally invasive spinal surgery.
He received his medical degree from University of Nairobi, Kenya, and underwent fellowship training at The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
