Carrie Diulus, MD, is a board certified orthopedic spine surgeon at Akron, Ohio-based Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center.
Dr. Diulus received her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown. She underwent fellowship training at the SpineCare Medical Group in San Francisco. Before joining the Crystal Clinic in 2014, Dr. Diulus was a spine surgeon at Cleveland Clinic and maintains physician privileges at Cleveland Clinic hospitals.
Dr. Diulus practices patient-centered care, a holistic approach that takes the entire patient into account in designing treatment. She has co-authored textbook chapters, presents at national and international professional meetings, teaches and leads instructional courses for the North American Spine Society. She also serves on the Ethics Board for the North American Spine Society. Her research focuses on reducing chronic disease burden and the total cost of care while improving outcomes for orthopedic and spine patients.
She is also a leader in healthcare information technology and is the CEO and founder of Speira Health. Dr. Diulus previously served as medical director within the information technology division at Cleveland Clinic.
