Hoon Choi, MD, is a neurosurgeon at Green Bay, Wis.-based Prevea Health.
Dr. Choi is an assistant professor of neurosurgery at the Milwaukee-based Medical College of Wisconsin and the director of spine surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin Green Bay. He specializes in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery as well as image-guided and minimally invasive cranial surgery.
Dr. Choi received his medical degree from the University of Auckland Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences in New Zealand. He completed a pediatric neurosurgery residency at Harvard Medical School in Boston. He also completed training in general neurosurgery at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Dr. Choi underwent spine surgery fellowship training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society and AO Spine North America. Dr. Choi also has a master of science degree in mechanical engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo and performs robot-assisted spine surgery.
