Thomas Dowling Jr., MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at Long Island Spine Specialists in New York.
Dr. Dowling is the founding partner of Long Island Spine Specialists. He received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and underwent neurosurgical spine fellowship training at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y. He also underwent clinical spine fellowship training at Toronto General Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital in Ontario, Canada.
He serves as co-chairman of the spine surgery performance improvement committee at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, N.Y. Dr. Dowling has also served on the board of directors of the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Catholic Health Services of Long Island. He lectures nationally and internationally and has published several articles and book chapters.
