Benjamin R. Gelber, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Neurological & Spinal Surgery in Lincoln, Neb.
Dr. Gelber specializes in spine, brain and peripheral nerve surgery. He is also a certified specialist in Gamma Knife radiosurgery. Dr. Gelber received his medical degree from State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.
Dr. Gelber serves as chairman of neurosurgery at Lincoln-based Bryan Medical Center. He is a certified advanced trauma life support instructor and has nearly 40 years of experience in neurotrauma care.
Dr. Gelber is a past editor of The Nebraska Medical Journal, a past-president of the Lancaster County Medical Society and a current member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Nebraska Medical Association and Midwest Neurosurgical Society, among other professional organizations.
