Frank Vrionis, MD, PhD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon who serves as director of the Marcos Neuroscience Institute and chair of the department of neurosurgery at Boca Raton (Fla.) Regional Hospital.
Dr. Vrionis focuses on minimally invasive spine surgery, spine and brain tumor surgery and vascular neurosurgery among other procedures.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Athens School of Medicine in Greece before moving to the United States to further his career.
Dr. Vrionis completed his residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston and underwent fellowship training at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
He also holds a master's in public health from Harvard University in Boston and a PhD in brain tumor immunology from Duke University in Durham, N.C.
