Carmina Angeles, MD, PhD. Neurosurgeon in Eugene, Ore. Dr. Angeles specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery and complex spinal decompression. She is also trained in cervical disc arthroplasty.
Erica Bisson, MD. University of Utah Health Care (Salt Lake City). Dr. Bisson specializes in complex cervical spine surgery, spine trauma and degenerative disorders. She has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles.
Christopher Glattes, MD. Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics (Nashville, Tenn.). Dr. Glattes joined Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics in 2008. He received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his residency at Nashville-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Michael Groff, MD. Brigham and Women's Hospital (Boston). Dr. Groff leads the spinal neurosurgery department as vice chair and director. His research interests include spinal biomechanics and health services research.
Sohaib Kureshi, MD. Neurosurgical Medical Clinic (San Diego). Dr. Kureshi's areas of interest include spinal cord tumors and degenerative spine disorders. In 2018 he received a Patients' Choice award and Compassionate Doctor recognition from Vitals.com.
Eric Nottmeier, MD. Mayo Clinic (Jacksonville, Fla.). Dr. Nottmeier specializes in complex and image-guided spine surgery. He's co-chair of the North American Spine Society's section on robotics and navigation.
Matthew Philips, MD. Southcoast Health (New Bedford, Mass.). Dr. Philips received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn., and completed a neurosurgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He recently marked his 200th spine surgery using 7D Surgical's spine system.
Emily Putney, DO. Coastal Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center (Port St. Lucie, Fla.). Dr. Putney received her medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of New York Institute of Technology and completed her residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She specializes in a variety of spine conditions from cervical and lumbar stenosis to scoliosis and disc herniation.
Peter Syre, MD. Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (Salida, Colo.). Dr. Syre has a special interest in scoliosis, spinal trauma and tumors. He is leading a new spine program at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center.
Ruben Torrealba, MD. Spine & Scoliosis Specialists (Greensboro, N.C.). Dr. Torrealba joined Spine & Scoliosis Specialists in November 2013, and he works closely with Spanish-speaking patients so they understand their treatments. He completed his residency at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine where he was the 2012 Resident of the Year.
