9 Hospitals Expanding Spine Programs

Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, Fla., completed a $60 million patient tower, which includes an orthopedic and spine center.

Shawnee Mission (Kan.) Medical Center opened an orthopedic and spine center.

 

Pinehurst, N.C.-based FirstHealth of the Carolinas announced it has expanded its neurosurgical partnership with University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with the addition of pediatric neurosurgical services to FirstHealth UNC Neurosurgery in Pinehurst.

 

Cleveland Clinic Spine Surgery at Fisher-Titus, a new spine surgery program being offered at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, Ohio, is open to patients.

 

University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque announced it is developing a new endoscopic spine center, funded by a $2.5 million donation by Anthony T. Yeung, MD.

 

Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network acquired the assets of Westfield Hospital in Allentown and intends on converting the facility into an orthopedic center with a focus on total joint replacements and spine surgery.

 

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., opened the $3.5 million Joint and Spine Center.

 

Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System announced it has added a new neurosurgery residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

 

Cincinnati-based The Christ Hospital Health Network completed the construction of The Christ Hospital Joint and Spine Center.
