5 Spine & Neurosurgeons in New Leadership Positions

Here are five spine and neurosurgeons who recently assumed new leadership positions. Merle P. Stringer, MD, a neurosurgeon at Brain and Spine Center, was reappointed to the Board of Medicine in Florida.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., announced the appointment of Oran Aaronson, MD, as medical director of Vanderbilt Spine Center at VUMC.

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons selected William O. Shaffer, MD, as its new medical director.

Aury Nagy, MD, announced the opening of his practice — Nevada Brain & Spine Care — with offices in Las Vegas, Henderson, Nev., and Bullhead City, Ariz.

Ezriel Kornel, MD, recently opened an office in Fishkill, N.Y.
