ABC News outlined the struggles of at least one patient who is trying to obtain her medical records from Tampa-based Laser Spine Institute, which closed March 1.
Florida-based Christine Sorhage underwent surgery at Laser Spine Institute 10 days before it closed. She is now seeking postoperative care but can't access to her medical records from Laser Spine Institute.

However, multiple patients report difficulties obtaining their medical record, ABC News reports. In a statement from Tampa-based BioSpine Institute, multiple former Laser Spine Institute patients have been unable to access their medical records. BioSpine has also tried to retrieve the records and experienced "some of the same difficulties."
