Antonio Webb, MD, spine surgeon, author and Iraq War veteran, embarked on a 20-city virtual tour Feb. 3 to promote the documentary film adaptation of his book, "Overcoming the Odds," Shreveport, La., news outlet KSLA12 reports.
The documentary explores Dr. Webb's challenging upbringing in Louisiana and highlights how he excelled in his high school and university studies, before serving eight years in the military.
After his military service, Dr. Webb earned his medical degree, completed an orthopedic residency at UT Health San Antonio and a spine surgery fellowship at Texas Back Institute in Plano.
Last year, he joined South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital in San Antonio and was recognized by the North American Spine Society in its list of 20 spine specialists under 40.
