Jessica Clymer, MD, joined Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone in New York City as director of the pediatric neuro-oncology department, the hospital said Dec. 20.
Dr. Clymer will also work as an assistant professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, according to a news release. She is a recognized leader in treating childhood spine and brain tumors and previously worked at Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
"The treatment of pediatric brain tumors is complex and inherently multidisciplinary," Dr. Clymer said in the relase. "I am thrilled to join this team of dedicated individuals including world class neurosurgeons and pathologists utilizing cutting-edge molecular diagnostics and early phase clinical trials. Together we provide exemplary care to children of New York and the surrounding region."
