Eminent Spine, a biomechanical provider, has earned approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its 3D-printed titanium cervical intervertebral body fusion device system.
The device has aggressive teeth to resist migration, a tapered nose allows for ease of insertion, lordosis for ease of insertion and self distraction, a large central opening for maximum bone graft material and a universal inserter for all implant profiles, according to a Feb. 8 news release.
The company offers polyetheretherketone (PEEK), machined titanium and 3D-printed titanium implants, all provided nonsterile.
The device will be presented at a conference in Marco Island, Fla., this month.
