Richard Broderick, MD, a neurosurgeon at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Ill., has completed his 50th procedure using Augmedics' Xvision spine navigation system, according to an April 13 tweet from Augmedics.
Dr. Broderick began using Xvision in December 2021, becoming the first surgeon in the 26-hospital Advocate Aurora Health system to perform an augmented reality spinal procedure.
Xvision is an augmented reality, wireless spine system that allows surgeons free movement within the operating room, improving surgery outcomes and eliminating surgeon attention shifts between screens.
