Surgical technology company Proprio, known for its artificial intelligence-driven surgical navigation platform for spine procedures, has secured $43 million in series B funding to address a growing demand for its platform.
Proprio's flagship navigation platform, Paradigm, obtained FDA 510(k) clearance earlier this year. Paradigm uses light field technology and artificial intelligence to generate a real-time 3D visualization of surgery.
Paradigm eliminates the need for intraoperative scans and reduces radiation exposure, according to a July 27 press release. It also saves up to 30 minutes per procedure.
Proprio is currently trying to expand its product line outside of spinal procedures.
