UConn Health to consolidate Brain & Spine Institute offices

Spine

UConn Health is planning to consolidate offices at its Brain & Spine Institute in a newly constructed building in Farmington, Conn., according to a Sept. 11 report from the Hartford Business Journal.

The new office building is 30,262 square feet and sits on 5.32 acres. The building construction was originally finished in 2021, but UConn is still working on outfitting the inside.

In June 2022, an additional $8.38 million in funding was approved for the project. The goal is to move into the new building in 2024, possibly as early as January, according to the report.

The relocation will allow UConn to expand other clinical programs in the Brain & Spine Institute's former location.

UConn Health's Brain & Spine Institute provides comprehensive care in the fields of neurology, neurosurgery, spine surgery, nonoperative spine care and radiology.
