Initially, an orthodontist thought the boy's palate was too small. When he stopped growing, physicians speculated on issues including migraines and sinus cavities.
His mother ran his symptoms and MRI notes through ChatGPT, and the artificial intelligence software suggested the spine condition. A neurosurgeon later confirmed the condition, and the boy had surgery to treat it.
