Dr. Osama Kashlan joins Weill Cornell Medicine neurosurgery faculty

Neurosurgeon Osama Kashlan, MD, has joined New York City-based Weill Cornell Medicine's neurological surgery department and will see patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist.

Dr. Kashlan is fellowship trained in spine surgery and specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, including innovative new endoscopic approaches to the spine, according to a Feb. 26 press release. 

In addition to performing surgeries at NewYork-Presbyterian, Dr. Kashlan will also see patients at Sunset Park and the Center for Community Health, both in New York City. 

Dr. Kashlan also has a special interest in tumors, infections and congenital defects of the lumbosacral junction, with additional experience in treating adult tethered cords and sacral pathologies. 

He previously served as director of minimally invasive spine surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he was also in charge of the spine fellowship.
