Here are seven leadership moves to know at spine and orthopedic practices and departments since July 1. 

1. Sheeraz Qureshi, MD, was named chief medical officer of HSS Florida, and David Backstein, MD, was named medical director of HSS at NCH in Naples, Fla.

2. The University of Maryland School of Medicine appointed Frank Henn, MD, as chair of the department of orthopedics.

3. Alexander Tuchman, MD, was named co-director of Cedars-Sinai Spine Center in Los Angeles.

4. Dr. Simon Kelley was named chief of orthopedic surgery and sports medicine at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. 

5. Wayne Fraleigh was named CEO of Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo.

6. United Musculoskeletal Partners named David McIntosh as CEO of its Georgia market.
