SI-Bone earns new payment status for iFuse Bedrock Granite

Spine

SI-Bone received CMS' Transitional Pass-Through payment status for the iFuse Bedrock Granite system, the company said Nov. 5.

Four things to know:

1. TPT payment status will be effective for up to three years starting Jan. 1, according to a news release.

2. A customary deduction from the add-on payment, known as a device offset, won't apply to lumbar spinal fusion procedures involving pelvic fixation with the device.

3. "With a growing number of specialty degenerative spine procedures moving to the outpatient setting, the additional reimbursement for Granite ensures that patients and surgeons can access new technology and procedures without regard to the site of service in which they are performed," SI-Bone CEO Laura Francis said in the release.

4. The iFuse Bedrock Granite is used for pelvic fixation and sacroiliac joint fusion in conjunction with lumbar spinal fusion procedures.
