Andrew W. Moulton, MD, of Sarasota (Fla.) Orthopedic Associates will soon travel to the Dominican Republic to provide care for children with spinal deformities, according to a Bradenton Herald report.
The mission trip is being organized through the Butterfly Foundation, which aims at promoting the advancement of spine deformity treatment technology and training local surgeons. Dr. Moulton is the president and co-founder of the Butterfly Foundation.
Dr. Moulton is board-certified spine surgeon who completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York. He has published several papers in professional journals and is the editor of a textbook of spinal deformity.
