Neurosurgeon Dr. Arturo Camacho joins Nassau University Medical Center: 3 things to know

Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, N.Y., welcomed neurosurgeon Arturo Camacho, MD, according to Newsday.

Here are three notes:

 

1. Board certified in neurosurgery, Dr. Camacho's clinical interests include spine and brain trauma, stokes and cerebrovascular diseases.

 

2. Dr. Camacho underwent fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic. After earning his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Dr. Camacho completed his residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

 

3. Nassau University Medical Center is a 530-bed teaching hospital with a 19-story main tower. Physicians at the hospital treat more than 80,000 emergency patients annually, and the 80-plus outpatient specialty clinics see more than 178,000 patient visits annually.
