Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine, welcomed Nicolas Arredondo, MD, to its staff at Maine Spine Surgery, according to the Press Herald.

2. Dr. Arredondo specializes in complex spine and minimally invasive surgery.
3. Previously Dr. Arredondo served as director of Providence St. Mary's Neuroscience Institute in Walla Walla, Washington.
4. He underwent fellowship training at Tampa, Fla.-based Moffitt Cancer Center.
5. After earning his medical degree from the University of Texas School Health Science Center at San Antonio, Dr. Arredondo completed his residence at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
