Los Angeles Business Journal recognized Todd H. Lanman, MD, as one of the 2018 "Leaders in Health Care."
Here are six highlights.
1. Dr. Lanman received the award at the publication's 2018 Health Care Leadership Forum & Awards, May 15. These leadership awards recognize the "city's finest doctors, medical practices and hospitals, all of which have made phenomenal strides in providing top-notch healthcare to patients and setting industry standards."
2. Dr. Lanman treats patients at Lanman Spinal Neurosurgery in Beverly Hills, Calif. The practice is affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's Institute for Spinal Disorders and UCLA Medical Center, both based in Los Angeles. Dr. Lanman also serves as an assistant clinical professor at UCLA.
3. Equipped with about 30 years of experience, Dr. Lanman previously served as the principal investigator for a seven-year trial investigating the Prestige LP device for two-level artificial disc replacement. As a result of the trial, the procedure earned FDA approval in 2016.
4. He has authored more than 12 peer-reviewed articles as well as book chapters.
5. Dr. Lanman recently unveiled The Lanman Foundation for Spinal Advancement and Innovative Health, which strives to advances spine health and motion preservation.
6. He completed his neurological surgery residency at UCLA.
