South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta recently onboarded adult and pediatric neurosurgeon Kimberly Mackey, MD, ValdostaToday.com reports.
Four things to know:
1. Dr. Mackey specializes in the treatment of brain and spine tumors, spinal fusion and degenerative disc disease, among other conditions.
2. Her addition has enabled the hospital to provide 24/7 neurosurgical care.
3. Dr. Mackey will see patients at the hospital and at her practice, SGMC Neurosurgery in Valdosta.
4. She completed a neurological surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a fellowship in tumors and pediatric neurosurgery at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
