Augmented reality-assisted spine surgery has continued to be implemented at hospitals in the first month of the year:
Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas is among the first hospitals in Nevada to perform spine surgery with the technology. The system is being used for lumbar spine procedures, but surgeons aim to use it for cervical spine cases soon.
Bowling Green, Ky.-based TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital is reportedly the first hospital in the state to perform spine surgery using augmented reality. The center expects to use the technology on one or two procedures per week.
