Former Louisiana State University linebacker Damone Clark had spine surgery March 24, LSU Wire reported.

Mr. Clark underwent a spinal fusion to treat a herniated disc.

Though the NFL prospect is expected to make a full recovery, he will likely miss the entire 2022 season.

Mr. Clark, the leading tackler in the Southeastern Conference in 2021, was expected to be one of the hottest prospects at the 2022 NFL draft April 28-30, according to the report.
