12 New Partnerships & Expansions in Sports Medicine

Here are 12 new partnerships and expansions for sports medicine groups and programs.
1. The Andover Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Group in Newton, N.J., recently joined Lake Region Urgent Care in Hawley, Pa., to provide orthopedic services.

2. Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Fla., recently became the official medical provider for the Pensacola (Fla.) Blue Wahoos, an affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.

3. Coastal Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Newport Richey, Fla., has joined the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund to provide care for retired National Football League players in need.

4. Foothill Sports Medicine in Phoenix opened two new facilities, which brought its total number of sites up to 12.

5. Lemak Sports Medicine opened a new office in Hoover, Ala., which will be led by Amanda Martin, DO.

6. Longsteet Clinic in Gainesville, Ga., recently opened the new Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine office in Buford, Ga.

7. McShane Healthcare Solutions partnered with several Houston-based institutions to develop the Methodist Center for Sports Medicine, which also includes a training facility.

8. The Orthopaedic Foundation for Active Lifestyles and The American Journals of Orthopedics held its first annual sports medicine-focused meeting chaired by Kevin D. Plancher, MD.

9. The Stone Clinic in San Francisco, founded by Kevin R. Stone, MD, launched the first dedicated meniscus transplant center.

10. Texas Children's Hospital West Campus in Houston recently expanded its services to include a sports medicine program for children.

11. Texas Sport & Spine in Abilene, founded by Dan Munton, MD, has partnered with D1 Sports Training for a new facility, Munton Sports Complex.

12. Tulane University joined the NFL Neurological Care Program, which provides services for retired football players suffering from neurological conditions.
