Richard D. Ferkel, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with Southern California Orthopedic Associates in Van Nuys, recently performed ankle surgery on Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson, according to a Cleveland.com report.
Mr. Gibson suffered a torn tendon in his left foot and ankle. The surgery was performed at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute, also in Van Nuys. A time table for Mr. Gibson's return has not been established.
