K. Matthew Warnock, MD, of Houston Orthopedics, has begun to offer his patients platelet-rich plasma injections, which is increasingly used as a treatment for sports related injuries. Dr. Warnock, board certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, specializes in shoulder and knee surgery. He has been using the PRP injections to treat early knee arthritis.
He earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Warnock conducted his fellowship at Texas Orthopedic Hospital.
