Keith Meister, MD, performed shoulder surgery on Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Jeff Niemann at Trinity Park Surgery Center in Arlington, Texas, according to an MLB report. Dr. Meister repaired Mr. Niemann's labrum and rotator cuff in his right shoulder, which was painful during spring training. Mr. Niemann will likely spend nine to 12 months recovering from the procedure, according to the report.
Trinity Park Surgery Center opened in 2008 and is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Dr. Meister is a provider at the center and head team physician for the Texas Rangers.
