Orthopedic Sports Medicine

Sports medicine physicians at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago have joined the STOP Sports Injury campaign, a program focused on sports injury prevention in young athletes, according to a Rush news release.

The campaign was launched this spring by the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and provides the public with information and tools in order to prevent overuse and trauma injuries in children.

The campaign advises young athletes to report pain they experience before continuing their activity as well as to seek support from sports medicine physicians and athletic trainers regarding their pain.
