William N. Levine, MD, has been named the chair of the department of orthopedic surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and orthopedic surgeon-in-chief of New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, both located in New York.
Dr. Levine most recently served as the orthopedic department's vice chair for education, director of its residency and fellowship programs, chief of the shoulder service as well as co-director of the Center for Shoulder, Elbow & Sports Medicine. He is Columbia University's head team physician.
Dr. Levine is a member of the American Orthopaedic Association's executive committee and serves as deputy editor of the shoulder and elbow section of the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
