Robert Anderson, MD, performed ankle surgery on Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera, according to a report by The Oakland Press.
Dr. Anderson is an orthopedic surgeon and founding member of the Foot & Ankle Institute at OrthoCarolina. He removed bone spurs from Mr. Cabrera's right ankle and also repaired a stress fracture to his navicular bone in the top of his foot, according to the report.
