4. Female athletes participating in soccer and basketball have greater trunk motion, resulting in high rotational forces at the knee.
5. Additionally, female athletes tend to be more quadriceps dominant when they land from jumps, resulting in knees being placed in more extended positions.
6. Female athletes can prevent ACL injuries through neuromuscular training and core strengthening.
7. Movement screen performed mostly by athletic trainers can aid in identifying problems and determining specific corrective exercises to strengthen the core and enhance neuromuscular coordination.
