Eugene, Ore.-based Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine appointed Brian A. Jewett, MD, practice president of the center.

1. Dr. Jewett helped develop the RENEW Joint Replacement Center at Slocum Center.
2. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Western Orthopaedic Association, North Pacific Orthopaedic Society and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
3. Dr. Jewett has practiced at Slocum Center for more than 15 years.
4. Dr. Jewett earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, where he also completed his residency. He underwent an adult joint reconstruction fellowship at the Anderson Orthopedic Research Institute in Alexandria, Va.
5. Slocum Center's services include shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist, hip, knee, foot and ankle, sports medicine and general orthopedics.
