The Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif., is home to Kaiser Permanente's new sports medicine center, the Sacramento Business Journal reports.
Here's what you should know.
1. The center has three physicians and three physical trainers on staff, but it's projected that staffing will grow as the center's patient base increases.
2. The center is 18,000-square-feet and includes eight exam rooms, nine physical therapy rooms and an onsite X-ray.
3. In addition to an onsite gym, the center has an athletic field that can "mimic field conditions for many sports." It also has a 7,000-square-foot open floor space, where trainers will work with patients on a sport-specific process.
4. The new center is the largest in the Kaiser Health System.
