Howard G. Knuttgen, PhD, may be the oldest attendee of the International Olympic Committee World Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport, according to The Standard.

2. Dr. Knuttgen remains active on a semi-retired appointment at Boston-based Harvard University's department of physical medicine and rehabilitation and still practices at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston.
3. Dr. Knuttgen serves as coordinator of scientific publications for the IOC Medical Commissions.
4. His written work on sports medicine and science are widely published and pertain to various Olympic sports.
