Foot and ankle specialist Richard D. Ferkel, MD, of Los Angeles-based Southern California Orthopedic Institute will treat Los Angeles Clippers star forward Blake Griffin's toe, according to The Los Angeles Times.

1. Mr. Griffin injured the plantar plate in his right big toe during a playoff game against the Utah Jazz on Friday, April 21.
2. X-rays on Friday night at Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City revealed the injury's severity.
3. Dr. Ferkel is expected to evaluate Mr. Griffin's condition this week.
4. Mr. Griffin is expected to miss the rest of the postseason.
