Robin West, MD, of Fairfax, Va.-based Inova Sports Medicine Institute operated on Washington Nationals outfielder Adam Eaton's ACL, according to MLB's website.
Here's what you need to know:
1. Mr. Eaton tore his ACL during a game on April 28 while beating out an infield hit, according to UPI.
2. While Mr. Eaton sprained his left ankle on the same play, the injury did not require surgery.
3. Dr. West performed the surgery on Tues., May 9 and Mr. Eaton began rehabbing on Wed., May 10 at Nationals Park.
4. Nationals General Manager Mike Rizzo announced Mr. Eaton's recovery timeline is between six and nine months according to MLB's report.
