A year after undergoing ACL surgery, Dan Cooper, MD, cleared Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to play and practice, according to WFMZ.
Here are four insights:
1. In addition to suffering an ACL tear, Mr. Bridgewater dislocated his left knee last year.
2. Dr. Cooper performed the dislocation surgery Sept. 9, 2016 and examined Mr. Bridgewater last Monday. Dr. Cooper said the quarterback could begin practicing on Wednesday.
3. The Vikings now have three weeks to determine whether to add Mr. Bridgewater to the active roster or keep him on the physically unable to perform list for the remaining season.
4. Dr. Cooper is the team physician of the Dallas Cowboys and the former team physician for the Dallas Stars.
