Walt Lowe, MD, operated on Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson's ACL, according to Sports Illustrated.

1. Mr. Watson suffered the injury during a non-contact practice. He is expected to return after eight to nine months of rehabilitation.
2. While Mr. Watson played with a torn ACL during his college career, Dr. Lowe noted this injury appeared to be significantly more severe.
3. Dr. Lowe serves as the Texans team physician and chairman for the orthopedic surgery department at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.
4. Dr. Lowe is also the medical director of Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Institute in Houston. He underwent fellowship training at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
